Christina Quinn

Director, South West Leadership Academy; Thames Valley and Wessex Leadership Academy; Kent Surrey and Sussex Leadership Academy

Christina started out her career as a nurse at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London and went on to specialise in cardiac intensive care.

Christina started out her career as a nurse at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London and went on to specialise in cardiac intensive care. Her passion for education, leadership and OD led to a variety of roles in the education and health and care sector. Christina has been honoured to take on the Directorship of all three NHS Leadership Academies in the South of England (Thames Valley and Wessex, Kent Surrey and Sussex as well as the South West).

Alison's work over recent years has been concerned with driving organisational development and system leadership in the NHS.

As an experienced leadership professional in the NHS, Alison is staunchly committed to the principle that higher standards of organisational and personal leadership deliverer higher quality patient care. She strongly believes that helping leaders to develop keen personal insight into their own talents and leadership styles is key to driving changes in behaviour. She is passionate about improving the quality of the conversations which are difficult at work but ultimately vital to an organisation's effective functioning.

Ali has recently led the work of the Local Leadership Academy National Talent Management Network and will be part of the team establishing the South East Regional Talent Review Board. As a coaching supervisor, accredited coach and mentor trainer, Ali invests her strengths in these areas to develop others.

Ali has been a part of the NHS Leadership Academy since its inception in 2013 and was a member of Strategic Health Authority leadership teams before and so has a long-standing understanding of the shifting leadership landscape in health and care.

Maggie has been a part of the NHS Leadership Academy since its inception in 2013, with a clinical background she is keen to ensure leadership development for all, but with a particular passion for developing future clinical leaders. 

Maggie has been involved with developing innovative leadership programmes, in partnership with citizens and also locally focused placed-based programmes.

Maggie is an experienced executive coach, a team coach and a facilitator. What motivates Maggie is the outcomes and the impact of the leadership and OD interventions that she facilitates, which make a difference to our people and therefore ultimately to the communities that we serve.

Helen leads on systems leadership, working with networks of healthcare leaders to connect them and work with them to develop inclusive and compassionate leadership across their systems to deliver high quality care.

Helen is also the lead for the Graduate Management Training Scheme for the region.

Helen is currently studying for her MBA.

Alison joined the KSS Leadership Academy in 2015 and is currently PA to Christina Quinn, Director for all three Leadership Academies in the South of England.  Alison has worked in the NHS for 16 years in several organisations including Primary Care Trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups.

Annemi started her career in the optical industry. She then moved into the utilities sector as metering asset management assistant initially, before moving into an internal auditing role.

Annemi started her career in the optical industry. She then moved into the utilities sector as metering asset management assistant initially, before moving into an internal auditing role. Before joining the NHS, she worked part-time for a private IT consultancy firm as an administrator.
Annemi joined the NHS in 2012 as a Leadership Administrator before moving into the role of Leadership Programme Support Officer in 2013

Fiona has worked in the healthcare industry for nearly 20 years in a number of organisations and joined the Leadership Academy in May 2016.

She currently provides support for Coaching and Mentoring and OD and has recently stepped into a more leading role for Inclusion.

Pollyanna joined the KSS Leadership Academy in 2016.  She currently provides finance and business support to the team, together with helping to co-ordinate masterclasses/workshops for the KSS Leadership programme alumni.

Before joining the team, she worked for many years as an Educational Adviser for The Open University, providing information, advice and guidance to prospective and active students.

Fernanda joined the NHS/KSS Leadership Academy in 2018 to support the delivery of our leadership programmes. Fernanda is also registered as an interpreter providing services to public sector organisations such as the NHS.

In 2015, Pete moved to Southampton, joining the NHS in 2017. The following year he transferred to TVWLA to provide high level support for Finance, Governance and Business Management.
